Gil Daniel Cohen, LUTCF, CHFC

Financial Services Professional with over 22 years progressive experience, holding positions that range from Advisor, Sales Manager, Territory Director, General Manager, Managing Director, managing Partner and culminating in Co-Founding Creative Financial Network, an independent financial risk management group.

Gil Started his career In the Financial Industry in 1994, as a financial services representative. Gil’s accomplishments include: leaders and Presidents conference qualifications, rookie of the year for Broward County and Million Dollar Round Table. Gil was promoted into management within his first three years with the company, first as a territory director for disability sales for 18 states and then to agency management. As a managing partner for a fortune 50 Financial company, Gil managed one of the largest firms in the country with approximately $200 million in recurring premiums, and management of 3.8 billion in total client assets. Gil was responsible for Managing multiple channels of distribution, overseeing all recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining top talent. In his Role as a managing Director, Gil was overseeing a team of 250 representatives and support associates in 3 separate distribution channels.

Gil has been recognized for his dedication to the financial services profession. Gil has earned high levels of recognition including eight Management Leaders Conference and seven chairman’s council qualifications. Under His Direction, MetLife won prestigious awards, most notably named “Firm of the Year” and “Individual Distribution Firm of the Year”. Further awards include, “the Super Starter Firm of the year”, which recognizes the ability to onboard and develop new representatives successfully, and the Good Business Practice Award, which speaks to the firm’s commitment to maintaining quality business standards. In 2008 Gil was inducted to the Managers’ hall of Fame at MetLife; Created in 1989, the Managers’ Hall of Fame is reserved for those Managing Directors who distinguish themselves with their superior leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Since the Hall of Fame’s inception in 1989, only 46 Managing Partners have become part of this elite group. Additionally, Gil received the GAMA Master Agency Award for Top 250 Firms in the world and the GAMA International Management Diamond Award year over year. In 2011 the South Florida Business Journal, honored Gil with Broward County Ultimate CEO award.

Prior to joining the financial services Industry 22 years ago, Gil Served honorably in the Israeli Air Force as a Master Sergeant, commanding and training members of it’s military and held a position in the Security Department of the General Consulate of Israel in Miami. Gil Currently lives in Parkland with his three children Jordan, Ben and Eve. Gil is involved with numerous charitable organization and community events, and is especially engaged with the Broward Sheriff’s Advisory Council. In his free time he enjoys flying, snowboarding, motorcycles and Car Racing with FARA and SCCA.
